The Senior Benefits HRIS Specialist has a primary focus on implementation, support, and maintenance of the Benefits components of the HCM system. This position will act as the technical resource for the Benefits functional area and be a subject matter expert ensuring data integrity, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues. The position will liaison with the HCM vendor, and partner with HRIS and IT to deliver requirements for new modules or enhancements, to test and implement solutions, and to support update processes.

Responsibilities:
System Support & Maintenance (50%)
Maintains knowledge of current Benefit programs
Provides expertise and support for Benefits components
Responsible for maintenance and enhancements of system configuration
General troubleshooting including investigation and analysis of system issues to develop and implement solutions
Develops and maintains Benefits related HCM procedures to ensure consistent use and maintenance of the system
Develop and maintains documentation and job aids as needed
Trains and coaches team members on functionality
Work closely with HRIS, IT, and Finance/Payroll teams
Serve as the Benefits lead for implementation of new HCM systems
Reporting (15%)
Creates and maintains standard reports
Run ad hoc reports
Respond to data requests
Maintain existing and create new benefits related reports and dashboards
Data Maintenance and Annual Benefits Open Enrollment (35%)
Run audits and take corrective action, including process improvements when applicable
Continued knowledge and understanding of system capabilities and enhancements to deliver recommendations to leadership
Configure, test, and implement system updates to reflect annual benefit changes including new plans, vendors, file updates, and statutory limits
Ensure proper creation, maintenance, and transmission of all vendor files
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Level of Education

Bachelor’s degree required

Years of Experience

5+ years in an HRIS role

Benefits administration knowledge a plus

Describe Type of Experience

Strong experience supporting major vendor HR ERP – Workday preferred
Has used one or more report writing tools
Understanding of various benefit plans and administration

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA)

Strong knowledge of HR Systems, data entry and data maintenance
Skilled in use of reporting tools
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Customer service experience and skills
Strong quantitative and detail orientation
Ability to multi-task and stay organized
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Discretion and sensitivity to confidential information is required
May be required to work additional hours during peak times of the year
Travel to other DuPage Medical Group sites may be necessary

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $49K-$74K, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
