Position Details:

Acute Administrative/Scheduling Assistant, Part-time, 36-40 hrs./week, typically 08:00am-04:00pm, Monday-Friday, must be able to work a flexible schedule, as needed. Benefits apply.

Position Summary:

Provides diverse secretarial and administrative assistance to the Director of Nursing. Provides staffing and scheduling assistance for acute nursing departments, committees, and activities at the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager. Assists in reviewing and inputting changes into electronic time keeping and scheduling system. Exercises continuous judgment and initiative with frequent contacts involving exchange of sensitive information. Directs and/or coordinates the work of other clerical support.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. College education and/or college degree preferred.

Licensure/Certification

/Registration:

None required. CPR Certification preferred.

Experience:

Minimum three (3) years of clerical/secretarial and administrative experience required preferably in health care setting. Experience working for/with executive-level staff members also preferred.

Job Knowledge and

Skills:

Computer literate & knowledge of variety of computer software programs required. Ability to efficiently perform duties with minimal supervision and within designated deadlines. Ability to retrieve, communicate and present data and information both verbally and in writing. Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken and written word using the English language. Ability to use independent judgment to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload/projects.

Detail oriented. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
