Job description
Position Summary:
Looking for Admin Assistant Customs. The ideal candidate will have excellent
communication skills
, the ability to prioritize tasks, and a proactive approach to
problem solving
. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth office operations and supporting skill-based excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Tracks all incoming shipments including but not limited to internet shipping websites. Processes all shipping documents. Liaises with shipping agents to verify the arrival date of shipments. Books shipments for all imports. Prepares payment vouchers as required including but not limited to for transport and to assist Customs Clerks with payment of handling charges, storage rent, and freight charges. Updates on the daily clearance of shipments and expected delivery times.
Forwards all cold chain reports, monitors, and recordings to suppliers. Ensures daily tracking and recording of all shipments and containers. Ensures
up-to-date
record keeping for customs. Â Key
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum 03 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in Customs. Knowledge of office management systems and procedures. Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint in particular). Â Additional Details:
