We are a Recovery Community Service Provider. Al-Maa’uun is a 501(c3) Nonprofit Organization servicing the Metro area since 2009. Our mission is to alleviate the ill effects of Substance Abuse, which leads to poverty and oppression within Black communities and people of color through direct service, advocacy, and beyond.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide essential support for our team. The Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of clerical and administrative tasks between Masjid An-nur and Al-maa’uun, ensuring efficient office operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
· Provide administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
· Answer, direct phone calls, greet visitors, and handle inquiries.
· Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments.
· Prepare and edit correspondence, memos, reports, and presentations.
· Maintain and organize filing systems, both electronic and physical.
· Manage and order office supplies.
· Assist with data entry, record keeping, and documentation.
· Support various departments with projects and tasks as needed.
· Assist with event planning and coordination.
· Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
· Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
· Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
· Attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
· Professional and positive attitude.
· Experience with office equipment (e.g., printers, copiers, scanners).
Preferred Skills:
· Experience in non-profit and faith-based organizations.
· Knowledge of basic accounting

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
