Job Description
As an Administrative Assistant with OMES you will enjoy:

Job Details
Full-time 40-hour work weeks.
Salary up to: $55,000.00
The Administrative Assistant provides comprehensive administrative, technical and clerical support to the Thrive program.
Responsibilities
Assists with schedules and organizing recreational leagues, travel, and department activities.
Assists developing and coordinating strategies to promote employee wellbeing at multiple state agencies.
Assists in developing new programming to offer state employees that promotes health and wellness based on needs and interest surveys.
Assists with planning, implementation and evaluation of current and new programming.
Assists in managing daily activities of Thrive including developing newsletter content, create social media content, promoting and coordinating recreation leagues, and managing other programming such as walking club and developing podcasts.
Promotes Thrive programs through attendance at statewide and regional health expos.
Assists with conducting surveys on needs and interest of state employee population.
Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing various types of information.
Responsible for maintaining registration of programs and activities.
Responds or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Responds to regularly occurring requests for information.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday but will also require time spent outside exposed to the elements. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel will be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion/Wellness or a related field; or
Four (4) years of Health Promotion/Wellness experience including creating, developing and delivering health education programs and activities; or
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
