JOB SUMMARY:

Provides administrative support to various units for the Honors College. Processes various administrative documents and data. Creates routine informational materials. May assist in basic unit supporting student activities, perform some fiscal support functions, and/or serve as liaison within and outside unit. Others duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

50% – Essential – Administrative Support:
Works closely with the Office Manager to provide administrative and programmatic support to the operations of the unit. Performs a wide variety of clerical, administrative, and programmatic duties to support college and program operations. Assists with assigned projects and/or programs providing assistance to college staff including, but not limited to, event management, data collection, room reservations, communication materials, outreach, and content creation. Works closely with the business manager to prepare monthly budget status reports. Offers alternate reception coverage in the absence of the Office Manager.

50% – Essential – Event Coordination Assistance:
Supports the office manager with logistical and administrative support. Helps develop the event details and provides marketing content support. Offers day-of support to college events including set-up, break- down, and vendor coordination. Provides support in audio/visual for the marketing director including, but not limited to photography, videography, and social media content.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education – A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the related work experience.

No Supervisory Duties – Not responsible for supervising employees.

No Budget Responsibilities – No fiscal responsibility for the department’s budget.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

Expected Hourly Rate ($ 16.70 – $ 20.00)

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson’s compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations

Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
