Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant provides high-level support to LPEA’s Board of Directors and Executive Department, ensuring the effective coordination of governance processes and key administrative operations. This position plays a critical role in supporting board functions, maintaining organizational records, and delivering office management services with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
The Administrative Assistant is expected to uphold and promote LPEA’s Mission and Vision, Strategic Goals, Code of Excellence, and Leadership Principles in all aspects of the role.
Essential Functions
Board & Executive Support
Prepare meeting notices, agendas, and supporting materials for board and committee meetings.
Draft and finalize meeting minutes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Assist with posting board packets and approved minutes per legal and policy requirements.
Coordinate logistics for board meetings, retreats, and trainings, including travel, room setup, and catering.
Maintain corporate records, policy manuals, and board member certifications.
Serve as backup for the Executive Assistant in board-related communication and public notices.
Office Administration
Manage conference room scheduling and assist with meeting setup and cleanup.
Order and restock office supplies, refreshments, and meeting materials.
Coordinate service for office equipment and act as the liaison for vendors.
Process incoming and outgoing mail, including certified and express packages.
Track document retention schedules and oversee secure document shredding.
Support cooperative-wide events such as all-staff meetings and employee appreciation activities.
Provide general administrative assistance to Leadership Team members (e.g., printing, data entry, travel coordination).
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
Minimum of 3 years administrative or office support experience; background in governance, legal, or executive settings preferred.
Experience supporting a board of directors, taking meeting minutes, and handling confidential materials.
This job primarily takes place in a temperature controlled office environment with exposure to general office hazards.
Compensation
$67,000 – $79,000 annually
