Applications for the post of Administrative Officer: Private Accommodation are invited from dynamic and vibrant individuals with student housing experience within a tertiary institution, who have a quest for constant self-improvement and development. Applicants must be client-service orientated and passionate about supporting the organisation's strategies with regards to their students and their cocurriculum development and well-being.
The successful candidate, reporting to the Coordinator: Private Accommodation, will be responsible for conducting inspections, monitoring compliance, and ensuring that all private accommodation providers meet the university’s quality and safety standards.
Key Performance Areas
- Conduct property inspections and monitor compliance with institutional, municipal, and safety standards to ensure availability of safe, quality accommodation
- Address and resolve student accommodation concerns through investigation, mediation, and stakeholder engagement to maintain student well-being
- Monitor service delivery levels of private accommodation providers and oversee maintenance follow-up to ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Maintain accurate property and occupancy records, compile compliance and trend reports, and contribute to the development of private accommodation policies
Minimum Requirements
- National Higher Certificate at (NQF 5) and 2 years’ proven experience in property inspections, compliance, monitoring, or student accommodation services, or
- Matric and 2 years’ proven experience in property inspections, compliance, monitoring, or student accommodation services
