Ocean Yacht Sales is an established yacht and pleasure boat brokerage located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and a division of the Tri Nav Group of Companies headquartered in St John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.

We have an immediate opening for a full time permanent highly organized and detail-orientedAdministrative Professional to join our team, with a particular focus on accounting. Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping Support:

Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing, and bank reconciliations.

Manage financial records, ensure timely payments, and track expenses.

Assist with financial reporting.

Administrative Duties:

Provide general administrative support such as filing, scheduling, and handling correspondence.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases.

Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.

Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Documentation & Data Entry:

Prepare and review financial documents such as statements, reports, and spreadsheets.

Ensure accurate data entry into accounting and administrative software.

Organize and maintain documentation for compliance and auditing purposes.

Office Management:

Oversee office supplies, inventory, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and correspondence for management.

Qualifications:

Education:

Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in an administrative role, with book-keeping duties.

Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software.

Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Attributes:

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize.
