The State of New Hampshire, Department of State, Elections Division has a full time vacancy for Administrative Secretary.

Summary:

Supervise secretarial support activities for the HAVA project and perform administrative duties as secretary to the HAVA project manager and project coordinator.

Responsibilities:

Attends various HAVA meetings for the purpose of recording the proceedings for preparation of meeting minutes including maintaining a signed log of attendees.

Performs comparisons of and follow-up correspondence for HAVA / DMV address registration anomalies.

Provides follow-up and feedback to HAVA management on NCOA (National Change of Address) notices.

Receives and submits reports to and from other States on new voter registrations.

Receives and submits reports to and from other States on incarcerated felons.

Provides support to HAVA management on the production of voter registration reports both to print and to electronic media.

Provides support to HAVA management on co-ordination of facilities, equipment and personnel for various meetings and training sessions.

Performs a variety of related duties as required.

YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS

: Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Associates degree from a recognized college or two years of college with a major study in secretarial science, business administration or computer science.

Experience: Two years’ experience in a secretarial position involving supervisory, office management or administrative support experience. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
