JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant
JOB STATUS: Full-time
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Reports to: Dean, School of Nursing and Health Professions, Site Directors, School of Nursing
JOB SUMMARY:
The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of professional and administrative duties to support the daily operations of the School of Nursing and its various departments. This role assists in academic support programs for SONHP students and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in program planning and development, including interpreting, monitoring, and analyzing information regarding operating policies and procedures.
Administer school and department budgets.
Coordinate academic and staff personnel matters and resolve issues that may impact the school’s overall goals and outcomes.
Compile data for various reports and grants.
Prepare correspondence to clinical agencies and track agreements with those agencies.
Coordinate, track, and complete needed revisions of course syllabi, purchase requests, annual reports, and proposals.
Schedule meetings, secure requested information, verify and maintain electronic files, attend meetings, and prepare reports.
Assist in coordinating special events.
Maintain office and classroom technology.
Communicate daily with university administration, faculty, students, and community stakeholders.
Must be comfortable communicating via phone, email, and intranet.

COMPETENCIES / POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred: Master’s degree
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE (RECOMMENDED):
Experience in administrative duties and academic advisement preferred
