Job Duties
- Perform general administrative duties for attorneys and child support specialists for the Child Support Services Division.
- Process administrative pleadings—print, sign, copy, and send to sheriff departments and court appearance letters to custodial parents.
- Scan orders and files from administrative process, rules, and judicial hearings into the OnBase mail system, ensuring documents are scanned into correct folders.
- Complete quality assurance checklist for orders; review paternity, support, or modified orders and financial obligation entries for accuracy and completeness.
- Review support, paternity, and modified orders to ensure medical insurance is addressed on each order.
- Establish and maintain documents on the computer using the Palmetto Automated Child Support System (PACSS), Word, Excel, Outlook; aid staff with maintenance of office equipment, vehicles, and supplies; organize and stock common work areas; manage and maintain office supplies.
- Receive mail from the post office/mailroom staff, note receipt in PACSS, and forward documents to staff; scan documents as needed.
- Process faxes and virtual conference participation authorization forms; note receipt in PACSS, scan into OnBase, and forward to case managers.
- Ensure personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared, and disposed, safeguarding agency networks, applications, systems, equipment, and data.
- Perform Red Cross shelter duty.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma and two (2) years of clerical experience.
- Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s Degree may substitute for the required program experience.
- Ability to type at a corrected rate of 35 words per minute.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle; ability to operate a vehicle for field work assignments.
