About us
At Charity Digital our mission is simple: we help other charities increase impact and achieve charitable objectives by empowering them to be more digital by creating educational resources, such as informative articles or videos, and running events in partnership with tech companies and other organisations that upskill charity professionals and volunteers, inspiring them to share those skills and make changes in their organisations. We provide access to tools and technologies charities need at non-profit discount rates. We also provide a regulated payments solution for fundraising (direct debits) and lottery.
Since our inception 25 years ago we have made great strides in bridging the gap between the technology sector and UK charities. We do this by working with technology partners and running grant-funded training programmes. Some of our partners include popular software brands such as Salesforce, Microsoft and Avast and we continue to build this portfolio.
The role
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Administrative Support professional to join our small, collaborative team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in supporting our team, with particular focus on partnerships, customer service, and internal operations.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Partnerships team with administrative tasks as required – such as creating partner campaign reports, promo plans and creating timelines for marketing campaigns.
- Support ongoing administration for email marketing services including renewals and invoicing
- Manage and respond to queries in the main Customer Service inbox and cross-selling/recommendation of products offered in the marketplace, events, and/or content that would meet their needs.
- Support the delivery of our marketplace propositions, for example: validations, licence deployment, renewals, interactions with customers and updates to customer accounts
- Liaise and collaborate with the CEO and the wider team to provide general admin support as and when necessary.
- Handle queries around our propositions, including for example our learning management system
Personal attributes
The successful applicant will be proactive and detail-oriented, with proven administration skills. A self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude, you will be collegiate and collaborative and have an excellent customer services manner. You will work equally well independently with minimal supervision, or under direction, as the situation requires. Digitally literate, you will be competent under pressure and passionate about contributing to social good.
Skills and experience
- Data entry
- Working to strict service deadlines
- Functioning as part of a small ‘hands-on’ team
- Customer-facing experience
- Competent in the use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PPT) Canva, Xero (or similar finance systems) and CRM platforms
- A broad understanding of digital technologies relevant to the charity sector
- Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness; proactive in identifying duplicate or inaccurate data records
- Strong written communication skills
- Excellent time management skills with the commitment to meet deadlines
- Conscientious, willing to go the extra mile to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Additional requirements:
- Must have evidence of the right to work in the UK
- For Hybrid working purposes, you will have a reliable internet connection and a suitable home working environment. (We provide a laptop, and the necessary licensing for software, with access to IT support).
Desirable qualities
- Experience with business development activities
- Flexible to support project deadlines and willing to take on such reasonable tasks as may arise to ensure customer satisfaction and support to colleagues.
- Experience in the charity or non-profit sector
