We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic administrator, to take the lead on the recruitment and retention of members of our Worshipful Company, in our small London office.
The Worshipful Company of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (WCCSA) is one of the 113 Livery Companies of the City of London. The Company is a member of the Financial Services Group of Livery Companies and our principal aim is to support our profession by promoting excellence in corporate governance and to align ourselves with the work of The Chartered Governance Institute, in maintaining the highest standards of professional practice.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include identifying and contacting potential members, maintaining a database of potential members and those who are going through the membership process, arranging and attending interview panel meetings (usually held via Zoom) and tracking/following up on recruitment opportunities, including those from the Annual Conference run by our Professional Institute and our own events.
You will also be required to act as secretary to our various Company committees and using our membership portal, draft agendas and agree with Chair, help with the administration of meetings (room booking, Zoom set up, taking minutes etc), maintain and follow up on action lists and draft papers/policies as necessary, working with the Clerk, who manages the office and Assistant Clerk.
For some committees, assistance will be required to hold events, webinars, provide meet & greet etc.
Other jobs as allocated by the Clerk including covering for other members of the office when necessary.
Person Criteria
Good knowledge of MS Office, IT literate
Flexible approach to work and willing to work occasional evenings
Able to juggle competing priorities in a busy workload
Strong attention to detail
Prefers working in a small team
Willing to work hybrid, but meet with other staff at our office at least once a week
Knowledge of the livery would be an advantage but not essential
Governance background an advantage but not essential
Committee experience, including minute taking, preferred

Hours
Three days per week, with at least one working at our office located at St Paul’s, London EC2Y. There will be a requirement to attend some evening events, but time off in lieu will be offered.
