Overview

Job Description:

Microchip is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the global Applications and Technical Learning organizations. This role provides critical administrative and operational support that enables leadership and engineering teams to focus on strategic initiatives, technical program delivery, and customer engagement.

The Administrative Assistant will manage a variety of operational processes including scheduling, reporting, purchasing coordination, internal communications, and support for meetings, visitors, and internal events. This role will also assist with large customer-facing training programs such as the MASTERs conference series.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for Applications leadership and team members
  • Coordinate travel logistics, hotel bookings, visitor support, and meeting facilities
  • Maintain internal distribution lists, collaboration tools, and documentation repositories
  • Support teams with material movement between Microchip locations, customers, and events
  • Generate internal reports and dashboards as requested by leadership and partner teams
  • Coordinate calendars, meetings, and internal communications across multiple teams and global locations
  • Manage purchasing workflows including purchase requisitions, vendor onboarding, contract routing, and invoice tracking
  • Support expense management and financial administrative processes
  • Provide presentation and graphics support for internal and external communications
  • Assist with administrative preparation and logistics coordination for large events such as the global MASTERs conference series

Requirements/Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of administrative, operations coordination, or similar professional experience in a corporate environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and ability to coordinate complex projects and schedules
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  • Self-starter mentality with minimal need for supervision

Preferred Qualifications

  • College coursework in business administration or related field
  • Experience with purchasing systems, expense management, and vendor coordination
  • Experience with AI tools for automating workflows
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau or similar platforms
  • Experience with presentation development and graphics tools such as Adobe or similar software
  • Experience supporting event coordination, training programs, or customer visits
  • Enjoys supporting leadership and helping teams succeed

About The Organization

This role supports the Applications and Technical Learning organizations, which enable global training initiatives and customer-facing events reaching thousands of Microchip customers annually, including the company’s flagship MASTERs technical conference programs.

This position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.
