Position Title
Assistant Administrator – St Francis Campus, Sudler
Position Summary / Career Interest: To coordinate and direct all operating, medical, and personnel functions as assigned, related to the quality and delivery of care from the Hospital and its entities.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
Accept delegated areas of administration and hold the several areas under his/her jurisdiction responsible for efficient practices as defined by the Administrator. These areas include, but are not limited to, Nursing, Medical Reception, Building and Grounds, Data Processing, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Human Resources, grants management, ancillary departments, and administrative support.
Responsible for all personnel functions within delegated area, including placement, supervision, termination, performance evaluation, and position development.
Counsel with the Administrator on matters pertaining to basic operational policies of the Clinic; formulate and recommend new or revised operational policies and monitor those implemented.
Evaluate supervisory and administrative workloads to ensure equitable distribution and determine whether reduction or addition of personnel is necessary.
Responsible for establishing goals and objectives for all personnel under supervision.
Analyze systems and procedures and recommend changes to improve workflow and efficiency. Maintain and compile statistics as needed or upon request of the Administrator.
Establish annual budgets for all departments to fulfill their goals and objectives, including planning workload and needs for personnel, space, equipment, and support services.
Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment, ensuring safety, sanitation, efficiency, and appearance standards.
May act as Administrator in the absence of the Administrator, at their discretion.
Actively pursue continuing education.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Undertake special projects and assignments as directed by the Administrator.
Perform professional, clinical, and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
Other duties as assigned, depending on department or unit needs.
Required
Education and Experience
High School Graduate.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in business, health administration, or education.
Proven ability and personality to work with others and manage business and occupational activities.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Knowledge Requirements
Knowledge of business systems and design.
Knowledge of information systems design and operation.
Expertise in healthcare administration, financial planning, and management skills.
