A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR – NURSING ASSISTANT
In this administrative role, your main job is to help make sure that everything runs smoothly and meets or exceeds the standards set by Western States Senior Communities. You do this by helping to maintain the dignity and privacy of all senior living residents and making sure their rights are protected. You also assist in managing the department’s budget, recommending and implementing programs to increase revenue and controlling expenses, and developing annual operating budgets.
Another important part of your administrative job is to help the assisted living coordinator supervise caregivers and medication technicians. You also assist in scheduling, recruiting, training, and directing members of our healthcare team, while managing compensation and benefits within established budgets. To make sure the Nursing Services Department is running efficiently, you help manage the census to maintain stabilized occupancy and proper levels of care. Finally, you supervise all staff in a manner that encourages top performance and growth of subordinates. It does your heart good to know you’re making a difference in the healthcare industry!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR – NURSING ASSISTANT
Experience in long-term care settings or assisted living environments
Experience in the general management and operations of a healthcare facility, preferably in long-term care
Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and employees
Willingness to work with the elderly
As an Assistant Administrator – Nursing Assistant, you should have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, walk, stand, and stoop for extended periods of time, and be able to push, pull, or lift heavy objects such as carts or furniture. If this sounds like you, we may have your perfect opportunity!
