We are looking for an Assistant Contract Manager to support post-award contract administration, commercial management and project delivery activities. This role will be seconded to a client office with regular site visits and offers excellent exposure to large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration and management of construction contracts throughout the project lifecycle
- Review and maintain contract documentation, records, correspondence, and contractual communications
- Assist in managing variation orders, change requests, claims, and contractual matters
- Support the assessment and tracking of contractor claims and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions
- Maintain accurate records of project changes, approvals, and commercial decisions
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Attend project meetings and provide updates on contractual and commercial matters
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and verify work status
- Identify potential contractual risks and escalate issues where required
- Prepare contract status reports and support project documentation management
Experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Law, or a related discipline
- 5-10 years of experience in contract administration, commercial management, or quantity surveying within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, variations, claims, and EOT processes
- Experience working on large-scale construction, infrastructure, industrial, or data center projects is an advantage
- Excellent documentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
