Job Description
Sole Strategies, a woman-owned firm dedicated to electing Democrats up and down the ballot, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant to the Chief of Staff. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience supporting executive operations in a fast-paced political environment, similar in structure to a congressional office. The Assistant will work closely with the Chief of Staff and senior leadership, ensuring the smooth execution of daily responsibilities, internal operations, and strategic initiatives.
Location: Remote with occasional travel
Reports to: Chief of Staff
Employment Type: Full-time, with opportunity for growth
Responsibilities:
• Manage the Chief of Staff’s daily schedule, including internal meetings, calls, travel, and deadlines.
• Prepare briefing materials, meeting agendas, and notes for internal and external meetings.
• Track and follow up on key initiatives, ensuring timely completion of action items.
• Coordinate communications and workflows between departments, supporting cross-functional collaboration.
• Draft internal memos, talking points, and confidential correspondence.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
• Support the preparation of reports and presentations for internal use and external stakeholders.
• Provide logistical support for special projects, events, and rapid response efforts.
• Act as a liaison between the Chief of Staff and junior staff, providing clarity on expectations and deadlines.
Qualifications:
• At least 1–2 years of experience in a political, government, campaign, or high-pressure office setting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and project management tools.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Discretion, reliability, and professional judgment when handling confidential matters.

Compensation:
