About the Job

To assist the team leader / immediate superior on management and development of Takaful products, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines set by relevant authorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists in drafting of product write up and other product documents/collaterals.
  • Ensures accuracy in the documents submitted and presented under Product Management.
  • Assists in planning and coordinating end-to-end product development activities, including providing requirements and information for projects related to product management.
  • Performs user acceptance tests with high accuracy.
  • Assists on obtaining necessary approvals prior to product launch or project implementation.
  • Assists on customer campaigns and special / ad hoc projects related to product management within the given deadline.
  • Ensures full compliance with all relevant regulatory rules & guidelines, product policy, standard of good practice and Shariah.
  • Monitors post-launch issues of the products and ensure they are closed/delivered within the time frame.
  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

We are looking for people who

  • Must be a formal degree holder or higher. Degree in Actuarial Science or other professional qualification(s) is an added advantage.
  • Fresh graduate may apply. Applicants with minimum of 1-2 years working experience in insurance or Takaful industry, preferably in Product Development or Actuarial, will have added advantage.
  • Key Competencies e.g product knowledge, problem solving, interpersonal skills, business expertise.
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
