Role Description The Baker is a full-time, on-site role based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This role involves preparing, mixing, and baking a variety of products such as bread, cookies, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards. The Baker will ensure proper food preparation, maintain a clean and safe work area, and monitor ingredient quality and stock levels. Daily responsibilities include operating baking equipment, following food safety and hygiene regulations, decorating or finishing products as required, and collaborating with team members to meet production schedules. The Baker will also help develop new recipes and product variations that align with Mattea Group’s commitment to a better customer experience.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in bakery operations, including Baking and general Bakery skills
- Experience in Food Preparation and handling baked goods such as Cookies
- Ability to produce and manage a variety of Bread products to consistent quality standards
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and basic kitchen equipment operation
- Attention to detail, time management, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Previous experience as a baker or in a commercial kitchen is preferred
- Willingness to work early morning or flexible shifts as required by production needs
