Salt and Light Bookkeeping is a US-based accounting firm serving small business clients. Our Jakarta team works directly with our US accounting team — same books, same clients, one team across two time zones.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Categorize transactions and maintain clean client books in QuickBooks Online
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts — to the penny, every month
Rebuild and clean up messy books from source statements
Separate business from personal spend, and flag what isn’t clear
Produce monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reports our clients rely on
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Solid accounting fundamentals — double-entry, reconciliation, AP/AR
Genuine attention to detail (this is the whole job)
The instinct to ask rather than assume when something is ambiguous
Comfortable working in English with a remote US-based team
Curious and quick to learn a new system
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance. 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
QuickBooks, Xero, or similar is a plus — not a requirement.
WHAT WE OFFER
IDR 9,000,000 – 11,000,000 gross/month, depending on experience
