Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant Jobs in Honolulu, HI at Moku Kitchen

The ideal candidate must be very detail-oriented, friendly, able to take initiative, able to think on their feet in a fluid environment and reliable. All duties require excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work independently. We are looking for someone who is able to react to change productively, effectively analyze and solve problems, and handle multiple tasks with sensitive timelines.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

– Perform a variety of routine accounting tasks, including assisting, calculating, posting, maintaining, and verifying daily restaurant financial records

– Prepare and maintain the Daily Sales Report using Excel

– Reconcile daily restaurant sales to ensure accuracy and completeness

– Count cash and prepare bank deposits

– Generate sales, labor, and tip reports for management review

– Assist with compiling and posting employee time and payroll data

– Identify potential issues with POS/Admin computer systems and/or FOH/BOH processes

– Communicate effectively with hourly staff and management as needed

– Reconcile financial statements and follow up with vendors to resolve discrepancies

– Provide seamless support and coordination across three administrative departments (Office, HR & Safety)

– Track insurance hours and manage employee health insurance enrollment and terminations

– Utilize email and workplace technology confidently to communicate effectively and complete tasks efficiently

– Generate written documentation as requested

– Enter invoices into Intaact and generate check runs

– Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills while working independently and collaboratively in a team environment

– Assist the Office/Safety Manager & HR Coordinator, management team, and Home Office with daily clerical and administrative tasks

– Complete various additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

– Must pass a full background check

– At least one year of experience in an office environment (Accounting and HR experience is a plus)

– General computer knowledge

– Must be proficient in Word and Excel

– Experience with Gmail, Intaact and Dropbox

– Presentable, personable and professional
