Local Commercial General Contractor seeking full-time Bookkeeper/Office Administrator. Primary responsibilities include using various software tools to process AP and AR invoices, process payments, establish and track insurance certificates, and preliminary lien notices. Reconcile bank and credit card statements. Assist in processing payroll. Generate project contracts, as well as providing administrative support to management and field supers with various other tasks. The position requires the applicant to be self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions. The applicant must also be able to answer incoming phone calls and manage all administrative and operational functions of the office. We would be happy to train a dependable and enthusiastic candidate with a background in bookkeeping in other areas where they have no experience. The position is based out of our office in central Phoenix with a Monday to Friday schedule.

Duties

Process AP invoices.

Produce AR invoices and make deposits.

Assist in time keeping and payroll.

Track sick time and PTO.

Request and track pre-liens.

Request and track insurance certificates.

Set up and track jobs projects in software system.

Produce project closeouts.

Maintain company website.

Conduct bank reconciliations to verify transactions and balances.

Manage general ledger accounting, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.

Assist with technical accounting tasks as needed.

Collaborate with team members to streamline office processes and improve efficiency.

Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and reports.

Provide administrative support as required to office and field staff.

Answer incoming calls.

Experience

Proven experience in office administration or a related field is preferred.

Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles.

Familiarity with account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting is essential.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Work and Excel is a must.

Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.

Proficiency in accounting software such as Computer Ease is a plus.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
