The Business Services Team provides support and processing across a range of key operational areas for Regional Office staff, including: Human Resources, Finance, Stock Management, Asset Management, Fleet Coordination, Building and Facilities.

The Business Support Officer will be based at the Metropolitan Regional Office located in Mt Gravatt.

About The Role

Support the division’s financial and HR management to align with government objectives.

Maintain and improve operational policies, procedures, and systems with strong internal controls.

Foster collaboration across work areas to ensure alignment with departmental goals.

Oversee activity delivery, providing strategic financial, HR, and operational support.

Advise staff and management on financial, budgetary, and HR matters to inform decision-making.

Analyse financial and operational data to offer solutions and policy recommendations.

Develop and refine financial policies and systems by identifying optimal approaches.

Manage financial and HR operations to meet targets and deadlines.

Engage with management and stakeholders to ensure services support departmental outcomes.

Assist in overseeing and developing AO3 and AO4 staff through guidance, training, and day-to-day support.
