Guest Service & Hospitality
● Greet users and Googlers warmly and provide friendly, professional assistance with inquiries, dietary concerns, and wayfinding as required.
● Maintain a calm, approachable, and service-focused presence, particularly during peak meal periods.
● Support food line service through portioning, plating, serving, and replenishing food items as directed.
● Maintain a basic knowledge of menus, ingredients, and dietary requirements to assist guests effectively.
Station Setup & Maintenance
● Set up assigned service areas, including beverage stations, salad bars, snack counters, and condiment stations, in accordance with daily service plans.
● Ensure all service stations remain clean, well-stocked, organized, and presentable throughout service.
● Monitor food levels, utensils, supplies, signage, and menu cards, replenishing items as necessary to ensure smooth and uninterrupted service.
Dining Area Cleanliness
● Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout dining areas, including wiping tables, arranging seating, and collecting used trays and utensils.
● Follow established cleaning schedules and regularly sanitize high-touch surfaces throughout the shift.
● Support back-of-house and dishwashing teams during peak service periods or whenever required.
Food Safety & Compliance
● Assist the Food Service Supervisor with meal-line checks to ensure compliance with food safety and service standards, including food temperatures, allergen information, menu cards, and food presentation, texture, taste, colour, and garnish.
● Follow proper food handling practices, including FEFO/FIFO, labelling, temperature monitoring, and allergen awareness.
● Adhere to HACCP, EHS, and Sodexo at Google’s food safety, health, and sustainability standards.
● Wear appropriate PPE and uniforms in accordance with company policies and safety requirements.
Team Collaboration & Service Excellence
● Work closely with culinary, BOH, and FOH teams to maintain efficient service flow and deliver a positive guest experience.
● Communicate proactively with the Food Service Supervisor regarding task assignments, inventory requirements, operational needs, and guest feedback.
● Participate actively in daily briefings, shift huddles, team meetings, and training sessions.
● Act as a positive brand ambassador for Sodexo at Google by consistently demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, hospitality, and a commitment to service excellence in every interaction with guests, colleagues, and clients.
