Join our team
as a Medical Assistant and be a key member of the patient care team in the outpatient oncology setting! Work closely with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Role overview:
You will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical practice. This position involves a
dynamic
blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities, including assisting patients, performing vital sign measurements, preparing for and assisting in medical procedures, and managing patient flow.
Key
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent, with graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program and relevant specialized certifications.
• National Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or registration by a recognized credentialing body such as:
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through National Healthcare Association
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
• Demonstrated strong organizational,
problem-solving
, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and email systems.
• Previous experience in a medical assistant role within an outpatient setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards and multi-specialty experience in a high-volume setting is advantageous.
