Claims Assistant (Professional Liability) – Hybrid

RSUI is searching for a Claims Assistant to join the Professional Liability unit of our Claims department in Atlanta, Georgia! The Claims Assistant collaborates with other assistants and claims handlers to meet the daily needs of the team, focusing on data entry and administrative tasks in the claim workload.

Our ideal candidate will have previous business administrative support experience, with a background in claims or legal administrative work as a plus. They will be skilled multitaskers with an eye for detail, and possess stellar communication skills. Bringing a team-player approach to their work is essential, plus a positive attitude and “entrepreneurial spirit”, where no daily task is too big or too small.

Ideal candidates will place high priority on top-notch internal customer service.

As RSUI is a highly team-orientedwork environment with a specialized area of industry focus, in-person interaction and real-time, fast-pacedcollaboration are essential to our success. Building strong working relationships is a key component of RSUI’s culture, and doing so is accomplished, in part, through engaging in meaningful dialogue and making professional connections. Team meetings, employee events, and other work obligations also often require an in-person presence.

This position will work RSUI’s hybrid work schedule, which requires three days weekly in the office.

Responsibilities:

Assists claims handler staff by obtaining information necessary to properly handle claims.

Sends appropriate notification and documentation to our reinsurers.

Sends acknowledgement to our agents, brokers, and insureds, as required.

Maintains and organizes claims handler imaged files.

Completes data entry transactions for claims processing.

Provides various administrative support responsibilities, including processing letters, handling phone calls, and e-mail.

May perform other related tasks as assigned, depending on business need.

Qualifications:

4-year degree strongly preferred or equivalent business experience.

Previous business administrative support experience strongly preferred; claims or legal administrative support experience is a plus.

Good oral and written communication skills required (telephone, e-mail, and interpersonal).

Decision making, prioritizing, and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Excellent attention to detail.

Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
