Position: Clerk 2 – Critical Care Unit 7
CCC7 is currently seeking a full-time, temporary (18-month) Clerk 2 position on the Crisis Critical Care Unit
7. Reporting to the Unit Manager and working with the interprofessional team, the incumbent will provide reception and administrative support, coordinate staffing, organize supplies, manage data and census systems, liaise with health records, arrange meetings, write memos, and perform other clerical duties such as faxing, photocopying, scheduling, filing, and document preparation.
Responsibilities
- Contact clients, service stakeholders, and the public in person and over the telephone.
- Serve as the first point of contact to the unit and deliver good customer service.
- Maintain knowledge of unit operations, privacy legislation, and client confidentiality.
- Sustain positive working relationships on the unit and with internal and external partners.
- Support service activities such as program development, delivery evaluation, and research.
- Support measures to ensure safety of clients, staff and visitors.
- Engage in self‑reflection, continuous improvement and support an inclusive workplace.
- Comply with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma and/or special courses with at least six months experience as an Admitting or Ward Clerk.
- Excellent computer skills: proficiency in Word, Excel and Access, and database programs.
- Strong clerical skills, ability to maintain accurate records, interpret policies and procedures, and provide routine information.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, privacy legislation and client confidentiality.
Salary Range: $24.76–$30.52 per hour
