Job Function
The incumbent will be responsible to monitor the company’s vehicles with the aid of computerised satellite tracking and perform administrative functions.
Key Performance Areas
- Ensure vehicles / drivers are on the preferred route and use safe stops.
- Ensure route deviations, speeding etc. are reported and actioned.
- Maintain communication with drivers.
- Monitor driver on-road behaviour and advise accordingly. Ensure that drivers comply with regulations (NRTA and company rules).
- Report incidents/accidents/problems experienced by drivers to Operations and Workshops and follow up on action taken.
- Capture information on transport management system.
- Administrate diesel fill-ups.
- Assist Controllers with general duties in Operations environment.
- Manage working / resting hours of drivers.
- Create daily TMS trips and allocate resources.
- Assist with FAC / FIC submissions where needed.
Qualifications Required
- Grade 12 but further education could be an advantage.
Experience and Skills Required
- Excellent administration & reporting skills.
- Be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime.
- Own reliable transport to and from work.
