Role Description The Clinic Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in KL/Selangor. This position supports daily clinic operations by assisting healthcare professionals with patient intake, and preparation of consultation rooms. The Clinic Assistant helps manage patient flow, handles basic administrative tasks such as registration, appointment scheduling, and record updating, and provides clear information and guidance to patients. The role also includes maintaining cleanliness and organization of clinical areas, stocking supplies, and adhering to infection control and safety protocols. The Clinic Assistant collaborates closely with medical and administrative staff to ensure efficient, patient-centered service at all times.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform basic clinical support tasks, such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for consultation, and assisting with simple procedures under supervision.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, including patient registration, appointment scheduling, and accurate data entry into clinic systems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and colleagues in a professional, empathetic, and culturally sensitive manner.
  • Commitment to patient safety, cleanliness, and infection control practices in a busy clinical environment.
  • Ability to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, in a 24-hour clinic setting.
  • Previous experience in a clinic, hospital, or healthcare setting is an advantage.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical records are beneficial.
  • Relevant healthcare-related certification or vocational training is preferred; willingness to learn and undergo on-the-job training is essential.
