Set sail on a new career with Carnival, and help us bring the FUN to life aboard one of our fantastic vessels. We’re looking for dedicated individuals to join us as Commis, with opportunities to sail in U.S. waters and beyond.
You will be responsible for maintaining the quality, presentation, and timely service of all food items in accordance with company standards. In this role, you will support daily galley operations by following recipes accurately, minimizing waste, and ensuring all food is prepared and served to specification. You will also assist in guiding and supporting trainees, while maintaining strong communication and teamwork to ensure smooth food delivery. Additionally, you will follow all USPH and HACCP procedures, uphold cleanliness standards including proper garbage separation, and ensure hospitality standards are consistently delivered to both guests and crew.
Requirements :
- Minimum age: 21 years old
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hotel or restaurant (minimum 5-star standard)
- Experience in high-volume operations with continental or fusion cuisine and banqueting exposure
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Positive attitude and self-motivated
- Ability to train, supervise, and motivate junior team members
- Strong understanding of food safety standards (USPH & HACCP)
- Basic computer skills (MS Office) are an advantage
- Previous cruise ship experience is preferred
