Our products include native hardwoods and softwoods, custom sawing and planing, and specialty products including wide plank flooring, post & beam timbers, cedar siding, barn boards, and more.
Kerber Lumber is seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Office Assistant to support our administrative team and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, is detail-oriented, and works effectively in a team environment. This is a full-time or part-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Approach all customers, team members, and community members with respect, positivity, and a helpful attitude
- Answer incoming phone calls, texts, and emails in a professional and courteous manner
- Greet and assist visitors and customers at the sawmill upon arrival
- Respond to customer service inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Support the sales team by processing and completing customer orders
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars as needed
- Assist with maintaining and updating computer and customer database systems
- Keep the reception and office area clean, organized, and welcoming
- Complete clerical and administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of customer service experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, friendly demeanor and a good sense of humor
- Comfortable using basic office software and databases
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Guilford, VT
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
