Exceptional One Services, a premier central Ohio remodeling contractor with an A+ BBB rating, is seeking a Construction Administrator to be responsible for coordinating materials, communicating timelines, maintaining project documents and details, as well as providing office/clerical support.
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with great customer service and communication skills. Strong self-management and personal accountability skills are a must. The individual we select will be a team player with a strong balance between structure and flexibility. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting the growth of an organization through the coordination of successful renovation projects.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinating with project manager on the scheduling of projects and ordering materials.
Maintain special order of materials, coordinate, and communicate timelines to stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with the production crew and manager to maximize the productivity of all phases of a project.
Source, order, and track project materials and equipment.
Communicate with team members, contractors, building officials, and vendors to convey pertinent information to maximize productivity.
Manage timelines and drive the completion of projects.
Stay abreast of all aspects of project status from start to finish.
Maintain proactive communication with customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Review and prepare paperwork for permits, utilities, and homeowners associations.
Coordinate with the project manager to schedule project inspections.
Provide project clerical support, maintain, organize, and document job paperwork, details, photos and contracts for the office as well as jobsites.
Assist the sales team in building estimates, bid requests, proposals, change orders, as well as retrieving signed contracts and processing project invoices.
Handle incoming calls from current customers.
Handle overflow of incoming calls to the office.
Assist and provide backup support to other office staff as needed.
Knowledge and skills required:
Organizational skills.
Project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Construction terminology.
Construction drawing a plus.
Bilingual a plus.
Experience:
We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the renovation and residential construction industry coordinating projects, organizing documents, invoicing, and job costing.
Education
/Knowledge:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field.
Strong working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office required.
Working knowledge of Quick Books a plus.
Construction management certification a plus.
Salary and
Benefits:
$22.00-$32.00 an hour depending on experience.
6 Paid Holidays, 80 hours PTO per year.
