Role Description

The Construction Clerk provides comprehensive clerical and administrative support for the assigned construction site office. This role ensures efficient documentation management, communication flow, and record-keeping to support construction operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing a wide range of confidential and general documentation, including correspondence, letters, memoranda, and reports for the CSM and field staff.
  • Drafting and maintaining key construction documents.
  • Compiling and verifying information, formatting documents, and proof-reading for accuracy, grammar, and consistency in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Tracking incoming and outgoing correspondence with contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Managing document control processes, including creating and maintaining contract files and ensuring proper filing of documentation.
  • Performing general administrative duties such as word processing, maintaining spreadsheets, and updating database records.
  • Supporting site operations through organized record-keeping and timely administrative assistance

Qualifications

  •  Minimum of two (2) years of experience in office administration.
  • Experience in a construction or project-based environment is considered an asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with site staff and contractors.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range

  • Construction Clerk: $65,000 CAD Annually
