Job Summary
The Cost Estimator is responsible for analyzing event requirements, preparing detailed cost estimations, and monitoring project expenses to ensure efficiency and budget accuracy. This role works closely with internal teams and related divisions to support effective budgeting and cost planning for event projects.
Responsibilities
- Analyze event specifications, project requirements, and operational needs to prepare accurate cost estimations.
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns for event production, materials, manpower, vendors, and operational expenses.
- Track, monitor, and analyze project costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to gather pricing and cost-related information.
- Prepare estimation reports and supporting budget documentation for project planning and approvals.
- Monitor changes in project scope and update cost estimations accordingly.
- Ensure all estimation processes and documentation comply with company policies and procedures.
- Attend team meetings and provide regular updates regarding estimation progress and budget analysis.
- Collaborate effectively with other divisions, directorates, and project teams to support smooth project execution.
- Support continuous improvement in cost estimation accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Management, or related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in cost estimation, budgeting, project costing, or related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good understanding of budgeting and cost analysis processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting documentation.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Able to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
