Job Summary
Under the direction of the Customer Service Supervisor, the Customer Service Order Processing Specialist position is responsible for processing all Customer Sales Orders. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions. The individual will be responsible for reviewing and accurately entering purchase orders in Hellermann Tyton’s database, working closely with various departments to ensure accuracy of purchase orders, availability of product, and timely processing.
Essential Functions:
Accurately enter and process purchase orders in a timely manner
Problem solve by researching within the database, email, internet, and appropriate personnel throughout the company
Diligently follow purchase orders through completion, working with appropriate parties to quickly resolve issues that delay timely processing
Possess the flexibility necessary to multi-task in a demanding, fast-paced environment
Other Functions
Assist with answering incoming calls and/or emails in support of Sales and Customers as needed
Support the Customer Care Team’s administrative staff in a variety of general office and clerical tasks as needed
Any other duties as assigned
Success in this role will require
Prior experience entering purchase orders within a manufacturing setting/environment
Ability to prioritize and multi-task for maximum efficiency without sacrificing accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional and pleasant phone manner to service incoming/outgoing calls
Proficiency in the use of computers and software
Detail-oriented work ethic
What You’ll Bring
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate Degree a plus
2 years’ experience in Order Entry (manufacturing setting/environment preferred)
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Self-motivated and an ability to independently problem solve
Ability/desire to work with a multi-functional team
Ability to readily adapt to changing requirements
Strong commitment to performing at the highest level of quality at all times
Ability to communicate clearly/professionally both verbally and written
Positive attitude focused on Customer satisfaction
Proficiency in JDE (preferred) or other fully integrated ERP system
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Word
