What You’ll Do

Develop strong understanding of shoppers’ profiles, consumption habits, occasion needs and trends through available qualitative and quantitative researches.

  • To support the trade marketing and Sales team by:
  • Assessing the category both qualitative and quantitative researches like shoppers’ insights as well as Nielsen & Kantar reports to fully understand the shoppers’ behaviour (why, who, when, how and where, need states and motivations)

Analyze market performance of beverage categories, identify threats and opportunities and make recommendations to grow our business further.

  • Use the information gathered from shoppers’ insights and Nielsen advisor to do another analysis based on the BPCC process to get more information and details before a recommendation or strategy could be developed.

Prepare and present Category review at least on a Quarterly Business Review with the different business partners like AEON, Lotus’s, Giant, Shell, Bison, 7-Eleven etc.

  • Gathering market information from Nielsen Advisor to present the overall health of the non-alcoholic market as well as aligning with company’s channel strategy to present to the retailer a picture that will benefit our sell through or position.

Planograming

  • Liaise with Sales team and retailers for scan sales data and develop planograms to maximize both space and profit.
  • Implement planogram activation that is in line with sales and market trends, as well as company strategies for the different categories and channels.
  • Update and maintain an accurate database for analysis and planograming.
  • Analyse product/SKU scan sales data received from retailers and develop planogram recommendations for clusters of retail outlets based on a strong underpinning of consumer /shopper’s behavioral understanding.
  • Update and maintain planograms on a quarterly basis or as and when the need arises e.g. in conjunction with new product launches, to ensure we continuously improve the portfolio mix to achieve our company’s objectives.
  • Develop scorecard deliverables (e.g. volume, revenue and profitability reports) and update/present the category performance.

Model Stores Implementation

  • Work with Key Accounts Managers, Sales Operations Team, retailers, contractors and designers on Model Stores, supported by learnings from shoppers’ insights and other research data, with the aim of increasing consumption by better connecting with target shoppers and consumers, and driving greater impulse purchases.

Others including:

  • Assist in business planning process, data analysis, and preparation of category-related reports as well as other departments’ projects and presentation preparations.
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports related to category information for Key Accounts Team and/or Management.

What You Bring

  • A university degree, (preferably) in Business Administration/ business related courses or Economics or Mathematics.
  • Minimum 5 years in Data & Analytics and Sales or Trade/ Marketing role with minimum 1 year of experience in category management within the fast moving consumer goods industry or with leading retailers
  • Strong analytical skills, presentation skills.
  • Experience in space mgmt. software is preferred, Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
  • Effective communications and personal skills.
