Database and Reporting Manager Jobs in Peoria, Illinois, USA at Illinois Central College

The Database Manager will work with internal and external stakeholders along with project team members to gather information from multiple data sources and organize that data to coincide with required formatting for internal and external program/outcome reporting. The Manager will review the data for consistency with existing data and transcribe updates to the program’s primary reporting system to meet federal reporting requirements on a consistent and timely basis.

The Manager will proactively identify data-related process improvements, manage access to data, and act as the primary point of contact for data-related requests or inquiries. The Manager will be responsible for retrieving data in multiple systems (AGS Prime, Microsoft Excel, People Soft, Work Day) and compiling that data to meet program outcome and deliverable reporting requirements.

This position is a grant-funded position through the IT Workforce Accelerator Good Jobs grant by the Economic Development Administration (EDA). This grant has an expected end date of August 2027. Manage all aspects of the program’s data retention and reporting process, including, but not limited to, collecting and organizing student and program data, transcribing data to reporting systems, ensuring data quality and consistency, creating queries and reports, monitoring and assigning data access, and submitting data reports to overseeing agencies.

Lead project and change management activities for the IT Accelerator Grant inside the department, collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure alignment to program goals and promoting data collection efficiency, accuracy, and integrity.

Collaborate with internal and cooperating subawardee staff to ensure data and reporting expectations are met by designated data stewards.

Analyze IT Workforce Accelerator data methods to identify potential practice improvements, build queries and dashboards in anticipation of future data needs, and prepare (and submit) reports in various formats as required to meet institutional and funding agency expectations.

Act as primary point of contact for all data-related needs ensuring that program and student data is kept current and that responses to requests for information are responded to in a detailed and timely manner.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to satisfactorily perform the essential duties and responsibilities:

Associates degree.

Minimum two years of professional-level related experience.

Minimum one year of outcome or data reporting experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail regarding reporting and deadlines.

Strong prioritization and organizational skills with minimal supervision.

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with institutional staff and subawardees.

Strong analytical skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on the use of Microsoft Excel.

Current Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

One or more years working with outcome or data reporting involving grant-funded programs.
