Shalom Construction LLC is seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Operations to oversee the company’s day-to-day operations and ensure construction projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
The Director of Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership across project management, field operations, staffing, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, procurement, quality control, safety, and client relationships. This position will work closely with the President/CEO, project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to support the continued growth and success of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the company’s daily construction operations.
Oversee multiple construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
Establish operational priorities, schedules, procedures, and performance standards.
Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, labor, materials, and overall profitability.
Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to resolve operational challenges.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and other project partners.
Ensure projects meet contractual requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.
Implement and maintain effective quality-control processes.
Promote and enforce company safety policies and applicable OSHA requirements.
Identify operational risks and develop strategies to minimize delays, cost overruns, and other issues.
Support estimating, pre-construction planning, budgeting, and project handoffs.
Review project financial performance and key operational metrics.
Assist with recruiting, training, developing, and evaluating operations and field personnel.
Build a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
Develop and improve systems and processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
Provide regular operational reports and recommendations to company leadership.
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, contracts, and company policies.
Represent Shalom Construction LLC professionally in meetings with clients and business partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
7+ years of progressive experience in construction operations, with significant leadership responsibility.
Proven experience managing multiple construction projects and teams.
Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and project controls.
Demonstrated ability to manage project profitability and operational performance.
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize competing demands and make sound decisions under pressure.
Strong knowledge of construction safety requirements and industry best practices.
Proficiency with construction management and project-management software.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to build productive relationships with employees, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to construction sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in commercial, residential, or general contracting operations.
Experience managing construction teams, Project Managers, and Superintendents.
Experience with contract negotiations and subcontractor management.
Knowledge of project scheduling and cost-control systems.
OSHA safety training or other relevant construction certifications.
Experience helping a growing construction company establish scalable systems and processes.

Pay: $112,972.91 – $176,053.39 per year
