Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Cost estimates for Conceptual, Pre FEED, FEED, EPCI, T&I, Fabrication type of Contract scope as required
  • Set up Estimating Structure & template in line with Price form to be submitted
  • Develop Estimating Plan and prepare the Basis of Estimate
  • Organize and liase meetings with respective functional input givers
  • Expedite inputs to ensure that the bidding schedule is not jeopardized
  • Review and clarify responses received from clients as well as internal stake holders and ensure cost impacts are estimated line item wise and dialed in the final costing
  • Support Probability and Risk Assessment process to derive appropriate contingency
  • Support Benchmarking efforts including collection and normalization of the data from relevant executed projects
  • Validate the inputs received and raise clarifications to ensure the inputs received are without errors, omissions, double dips or fat
  • Prepare and present the findings in reviews, with supporting documents including Benchmarks during cost reviews with functions and management reviews
  • Draft qualifications and clarifications for the proposal submission and reviews
  • Compile commercial price forms for the Proposal Document intended for submission to the Customer as per ITT
  • Ensure Cash Flow analysis is carried out and presented in management reviews
  • In the event that the tender is successful, ensure that the handover to Project management Department is performed in accordance with procedures
  • Develop, implement and maintain fit-for-purpose cost estimating norms/models
  • Maintain Traceability and record for all necessary communications and back up with regards to functional inputs, MOM, Management decisions, Basis of Estimate, etc.
  • Assist Senior Lead Estimators, Estimating Manager with regards to any ad-hoc request
  • Ensure the confidentiality of the information produced in the proposal
  • Prepare Lessons learnt and communicate the same with the team
  • Learn, participate and implement the safety working rules at all-time making Safety as the work culture in the department

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, science, math or related disciplines
  • Cost Control Professional – certification would be added advantage but not mandatory
  • 3+ years in oil and gas industry
  • Above average Microsoft Excel skills
  • Ability to prepare Cost estimates in a short time frames in a proactive nature
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects
  • Analytical skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in teams and alone
  • Co-ordination skills
