Our client located in downtown Hamilton currently requires an Executive Assistant to a Director for a contract position that may lead to permanent hire. This position requires a high level of discretion and
attention to detail
as you will be working with a vulnerable population.

What you’ll be doing:
You will be managing a director’s calendar and inbox, responding correspondence in a detailed and professional manner. Facilitate and prepare for meeting coordinating logistics and setting agenda’s to optimize efficiency of outcomes.
As the primary administrative liaison between the organization and the Board of Directors you will integrate information and ensure timely presentation and accuracy of all project correspondence. Create and submit statistical reports for internal organization to better streamline processes. While you’re primarily supporting the needs of the Executive Director you will also be involved in group projects and committees as required.
You will be the face of the directors office and so will be the first point of contact for all correspondence both inside and outside the organization and so a great deal of diplomacy will be required. Working in Word, Excel for reporting and PowerPoint for presentation you will be the key point person for all director communications and reputation.
Who you are: Â
Education
in office administration, university is preferred3 to 5 years of work experience as an Executive Assistant or Senior Administrative Assistant Highly proficient word processing skills and typing speed
Highly proficient office administration application skills:
Outlook, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Able to attend and support the Executive Director at occasional meetings outside regular office hours
Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and
communication skills
, both written and verbal A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle to facilitate travel to various sites
Experience working in the non-profit sector, particularly supporting clients with disabilities preferred Experience supporting the Board of Directors preferred
