The Opportunity

ResearchILD is seeking a highly organized, energetic, and people-oriented Executive Assistant to Founder and President, Dr. Lynn Meltzer.

This position reports directly to Dr. Meltzer and works closely with her on a broad range of organizational, strategic, and relationship-building initiatives. This is a multi-dimensional role that goes well beyond traditional executive assistance. It combines executive support with Board relations, donor cultivation, foundation outreach, marketing, business development, and program growth.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter who truly enjoys building relationships, developing new networks, and taking initiative to move projects forward. The Executive Assistant will serve as an important liaison between Dr. Meltzer and ResearchILD’s Board members, donors, foundations, professional networks, potential clients, and other key constituents.

Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive & Board Support

· Work closely with Dr. Meltzer on organizational priorities, communications, projects, and special initiatives.

· Serve as a key liaison between the Board of Directors, Professional Advisory Board, Dr. Meltzer, and ResearchILD staff, ensuring clear, timely, and professional communication.

· Coordinate meetings of the Board of Directors and Professional Advisory Board.

· Work with Dr. Meltzer and the Board Chair to develop meeting agendas, materials, and follow-up.

· Manage Board correspondence and communications.

· Maintain and continually develop well-organized digital Board files and records.

· Help ensure that Board members remain informed, connected, and engaged with ResearchILD’s mission and work.

Fund Development & Donor Cultivation

· Work closely with Dr. Meltzer and the development team to cultivate relationships with prospective and current major donors.

· Assist with direct donor outreach, including phone calls, emails and letters.

· Help develop thoughtful and compelling written communications for donor cultivation and outreach.

· Assist in identifying and developing new donor prospects.

· Support ongoing communication and follow-up with donors and prospective donors.

· Work with development staff to ensure that donor records and files are complete, accurate, and up to date.

· Help strengthen ResearchILD’s relationships with individuals and organizations who share our commitment to helping students succeed.

Expanding Client Consultation Services

Work with Dr. Meltzer and the ResearchILD team to expand and strengthen Dr. Meltzer’s client consultation services.

Responsibilities will include:

· Develop a plan to increase the number of client consultations conducted by Dr. Meltzer

by exploring new avenues for expanding this service.

· Develop outreach and communication strategies to increase awareness of ResearchILD’s consultation services.

· Build relationships with physicians, schools, special education departments, educators, and other professionals who may benefit from or refer clients to ResearchILD.

Marketing & Executive Function Services

· Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Sales teams to increase awareness of and interest in ResearchILD’s in-house EF services.

· Identify potential clients, schools, organizations, and professional networks, and new avenues in order to expand these services.

Foundation & External Outreach

· Support the outreach to current and prospective foundations.

· Help develop and maintain relationships with foundation contacts.

· Collaborate with the development and marketing team on communications and outreach to foundations

Recruitment & Special Projects

· Support the organization’s recruitment efforts when new staff members are needed.

· Assist with special projects and organizational initiatives as they arise.

· Take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed by the President.

Pay: $1.00 per year
