Located in Palm Beach County, Florida, Holy Ground PBC provides shelter, mentoring, life skills, and comprehensive supportive services to homeless, pregnant, or parenting young women and their children. Over the past decade, we have grown from supporting a single mother to empowering 12 families across two campuses.
As Executive Director, you will serve as the chief brand ambassador, strategic leader, and primary driver of our fundraising and donor engagement strategies. - Mission: To shelter and mentor homeless, pregnant, or parenting young women and their children living in Palm Beach County who are willing to make positive changes in their lives.
- Vision: To empower and transform the lives of young women and their children by fostering generational change that contributes toward breaking the cycle of homelessness, poverty, and teen pregnancy.
Key Responsibilities- Fundraising & Revenue Development (Primary Focus)
- Lead Philanthropic Growth: Drive all fundraising strategies, including major gifts, individual donor cultivation, corporate sponsorships, capital campaigns, and foundation grant opportunities.
- Donor & Funder Engagement: Cultivate, steward, and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, grantmakers, and community partners. Organize site visits and donor campaigns to increase engagement and retention.
- Events & External Communications: Partner with the Development Director and Board to plan and execute annual fundraising benefits and signature events. Oversee marketing collateral, social media, newsletters, and digital presence.
- Diversify Funding: Expand existing funding streams while proactively identifying new revenue opportunities to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Strategic Leadership & Community Representation
- Serve as the main spokesperson and public face of Holy Ground, elevating our visibility and brand across Palm Beach County through public speaking, networking, and media relations.
- Establish strategic partnerships with local organizations, corporate partners, and programs such as College Internship Programs and Leadership Palm Beach County.
- Set and execute organizational strategy in close collaboration with the Board of Directors.
Operational, Financial & Board Governance
- Partner with the Board Treasurer, Accountant, and Bookkeeper to manage the annual budget, ensure financial health, and maintain audit-ready financial and bookkeeping records.
- Keep the Board of Directors fully informed through detailed monthly reports, financial updates, grant reports, and active participation in board meetings and annual retreats.
- Ensure strict adherence to local, state, and national compliance regulations.
Team Leadership & Program Oversight
- Inspire, mentor, and build a high-performing staff culture grounded in accountability, empathy, and mission dedication.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and staff development, ensuring effective operational structures.
- Collaborate with the Volunteer Coordinator to support quality volunteer programming.
- Ensure overall program quality and alignment with key outcomes while delegating day-to-day service delivery to program staff.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration (MBA), or Social Work (MSW) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years in senior nonprofit management or executive leadership.
- Fundraising Excellence: Proven, documented track record in fundraising, donor stewardship, major gift acquisition, and grant oversight.
- Board Relations: Demonstrated success reporting to and collaborating with a Board of Directors.
- Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of nonprofit budgeting, financial reporting, and audit preparedness.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; highly comfortable with public speaking and media interactions.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (advanced Excel), virtual platforms (Zoom, MS Teams, Google Meet), CRM/donor databases, and basic accounting software.
Salary & Benefits
- Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt (In-Person position in Riviera Beach, FL)
- Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience
