SCHEDULE: Full-Time, Flexible Schedule Including Occasional Evenings and Weekends

POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive officer of Wabash Valley Recovery Center (WVRC) and is responsible for providing strategic leadership, organizational oversight, financial stewardship, and community representation in support of the organization’s mission.
The Executive Director works collaboratively with the Board of Directors, leadership team, staff, community partners, funders, and stakeholders to ensure the long-term sustainability, effectiveness, and growth of the organization.
The Executive Director is responsible for advancing WVRC’s mission through strong governance, program oversight, workforce development, community engagement, fundraising, advocacy, and operational excellence.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Lived experience with recovery and active engagement in the recovery community.
- CSPR-PR or equivalent peer leadership supervisory credential.
- Experience in peer recovery support services, behavioral health, harm reduction, nonprofit leadership, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience with grant management, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and program oversight.
- Knowledge of Recovery Community Organizations, Peer Recovery Support Services, recovery pathways, harm reduction principles, and recovery-oriented systems of care.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and complex organizational responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently while also leading collaborative teams.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and respond effectively to changing circumstances.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Addiction Studies, Public Health, Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience leading or managing a nonprofit organization.
- Experience with public speaking, advocacy, coalition-building, and community engagement.
- Experience managing state and federal grants.
- Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- Ability to travel throughout the service region and occasionally attend out-of-town meetings, conferences, and trainings.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as organizational needs require.
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
