This role resides under Marine Services (the Integrated Marine Services arm of MISC Group).
THE JOB
To serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for HR Systems, responsible for the administration, governance, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s Human Capital Management platforms.
The role ensures system integrity, operational stability, and alignment with business and Group requirements, while supporting HR operations, driving system optimization, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Act as system administrator for HR systems, ensuring system availability, stability and optimal performance.
- Maintain system configurations, business rules, workflows, and organisational structures in accordance with approved governance.
- Manage user access controls, roles and authorizations in compliance with IT security and audit requirements.
- Provide day-to-day system support and maintenance of the HR systems as System Administrator, ensuring timely issue resolution, system reliability, and coordination with ICT or vendors for technical matters.
- Assist in configuring, testing, and implementing system enhancements or new functionalities, and contribute ideas for improving HR processes through system capabilities.
- Maintain accurate employee data in the system by performing regular checks and data audits to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with internal standards.
- Provide guidance and support to end users, develop user documentation, and assist in training sessions to promote effective system usage and adoption.
- Generate scheduled and ad hoc reports to support HR operations, business planning, and compliance requirements, while assisting in basic data analysis and reporting.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as HR, ICT, and Finance, as well as external system vendors, to align system functionalities with business requirements.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, IT security policies, and audit requirements by maintaining proper data governance and system access controls.
- Stay current with HR technology trends, system updates, and regulatory changes to ensure the HRIS remains aligned with best practices and legal requirements.
- Support future system planning by contributing to discussions on enhancements, integrations, and digital initiatives in line with the organisation’s HCM strategy.
- Identify areas of opportunity to improve existing HRIS processes, functionality and workflow and maximize technological capabilities to reduce manual processes and to improve data management and efficiency.
THE PERSON
- At least 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience with two (2) years of experience in managing HRIS systems either in a HR function or in a technical function supporting human resource or in systems implementation experience and preferably with project management experience.
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related specialization
