Job Summary

Execute and support the implementation, administration, and operational processes of the research grant and scholarship programme, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and programme requirements.

Job Responsibilities

1. Execute and implement research grant and scholarship initiatives in alignment with the department's strategic plan/ framework and objectives, including performing duties as secretariat to the award processes, shortlisting applications, monitoring the programme progress and undertaking related administrative and operational activities to ensure effective programme delivery.

2. Coordinate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate programme administration and address queries or issues promptly to ensure effective stakeholder engagement.

3. Financial tracking and monitoring of disbursements, including coordinating and follow-up actions where required, to ensure timely processing.

4. Execute and implement events, outreach and engagement activities (i.e. research symposium, webinar, engagement, campus visits, field work etc.) for both physical and virtual sessions involving public/external participants.

5. Administer and maintain the department's databases, records, and documentation. Serving as the document controller to ensure accurate, systematic, and compliant information management, workflow administration, reporting, correspondence, and SOP maintenance.

6. Assist in the implementation of digital transformation and Al-driven initiatives, including process automation, system enhancements, data management improvements, and the adoption of Al tools to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and user experience.

7. Assist in preparing timely and accurate information, analysis, and reporting in a suitable format for management consumption to enable decision-making.

8. Perform and support other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management, within the scope of the department.

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/ Finance/ Accounting/ Social Science or any related field from a recognized University/College.

  • Minimum of 3 years working experience, preferably with experience in research grant programme management, higher education administration engagement.

  • Knowledge of research methodologies, academic research activities, scholarship or higher education administration, including relevant policies, regulations, and best practices at the local and international levels, will be an added advantage.

  • IT savvy and proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) Working knowledge of design tools such as Canva
