A large international Law Firm based in Washington, DC is looking to add a strong Facilities & Support Services Manager to their team! This role is direct hire and offers a very competitive salary as well as great benefits. This role is on-site (5 Days per week).

Position Summary:

Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations and long-term planning of our physical office environment. This role ensures the law firm’s facilities are safe, secure, functional, and professional—reflecting the high standards of our firm and clients. The ideal candidate will have experience managing multi-floor office spaces in a corporate or professional services environment, with a focus on service excellence and operational efficiency.

Key

Responsibilities:

Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and functionality of all office systems (HVAC, lighting, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and coordinate with vendors and building management as necessary.

Space Planning: Support office layout planning, renovations, workstation assignments, and conference room optimization, ensuring efficient and compliant use of space.

Vendor Management: Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with service providers (cleaning, security, maintenance, office supply vendors, etc.).

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure facilities comply with OSHA, ADA, and other relevant safety and building codes; lead emergency preparedness plans and drills.

Security Oversight: Work with IT and building security teams to manage access control systems, key card protocols, and emergency response processes.

Sustainability & Efficiency: Identify and implement energy-saving and sustainability initiatives that align with firm values and reduce operating costs.

Budget & Cost Control: Develop and manage the facilities budget, track expenditures, and forecast future costs for upgrades and repairs.

Office Services Support: Oversee mailroom operations, equipment maintenance, and inventory of office supplies and furniture.

Team Supervision: Lead and manage a team of facilities and office services staff; provide clear direction, training, and performance evaluations.
