The opportunity

The $53.3 million Regional Trade for Development (RT4D) initiative, funded by the Governments of Australia and New Zealand, supports ASEAN Member States to meet their commitments under the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area (AANZFTA) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP). RT4D plays an important role in supporting an open, free and rules-based trading system across the region.

Through the AANZFTA Implementation Support Program (AISP) and the RCEP Implementation Support Program (RISP), RT4D delivers tailored assistance to strengthen the capacity of ASEAN Member States. This includes building skills and networks, supporting policy development, and promoting inclusive trade outcomes that benefit everyone, including micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), women and people with disabilities.

Reporting to the Finance and Administration Manager, the Finance and Administration Officer will be a key member of the Facility team, providing essential support to the delivery of finance and administration activities that keep the program running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day finance, administration and logistics support to the Facility team.
  • Process invoices, payment requests and other financial transactions accurately and in line with internal procedures.
  • Support financial data entry and payment processing using relevant systems, including international and local payment platforms.
  • Manage vendor tax processes, including tax exemptions, reimbursements and deductions, ensuring compliance with local requirements.
  • Maintain petty cash and related records, ensuring appropriate controls and security measures are in place.
  • Coordinate logistics for events, workshops, meetings and duty travel, including venues, registrations, per diems, flights and accommodation.
  • Support procurement and office operations, including goods and services, workplace readiness and day-to-day administrative needs.
  • Assist with expatriate and office administration, including visas, work permits, accommodation, insurance, filing systems and asset registers.

About You

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, public administration or a related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in administration, finance or logistics roles, preferably within international development programs.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting high-level meetings, workshops and events, ideally with government stakeholders.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Office 365, Outlook and PowerPoint, with experience in accounting software such as QuickBooks highly regarded.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain high standards of quality.
