Front Desk Coordinator Jobs in Encino, CA at DISC Sports and Spine
DISC Sports & Spine Center, a premier provider of innovative and minimally invasive surgical solutions, is seeking a part-time Front Desk Coordinator to support one of our board-certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain management physicians.
Position Summary:
This position is expected to average 12–16 hours per week, with shifts on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. The role will be based at our Encino and Marina Del Rey clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and register patients in a friendly and professional manner
Maintain the appearance of the front desk and lobby
Room patients for consultations and follow-up appointments
Schedule appointments and answer/transfer incoming phone calls
Assist patients with paperwork
Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
Perform general administrative and medical office duties as needed
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office, hospital, outpatient surgery center, or related setting
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and EHR software (DrChrono experience is a plus)
Solid understanding of medical terminology
Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of patients and administrative duties
Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
Preferred Background:
Medical Assistant (MA) certification or equivalent medical background
Experience in surgical, orthopedic or pain management practice
Friendly, organized, and communicative demeanor
Pay Range: $21.00 – $25.00/hour
